Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

DeSoto, TX Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM 7 days/week Compensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonus Benefits: Full benefits package available Opportunity Overview NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our DeSoto, TX clinic. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care setting. Our full-time schedules are designed to support true work-life balance no after-hours tasks, monthly schedules released in advance, and more days off than on. You ll practice alongside experienced clinical teams with strong peer support, clear guidelines, and accessible medical leadership for real-time guidance and mentorship. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Order and interpret labs and imaging Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care, splinting) Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR Practice in alignment with clinical standards and productivity benchmarks Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas PA or NP license PA: NCCPA certification NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required) Active DEA (or ability to obtain) BLS certification Ability to treat all ages Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered) Preferred Experience Urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience Strong procedural skills Comfort with initial X-ray interpretation Why NextCare With 160+ clinics nationwide, NextCare offers clinicians engaging clinical work, flexible scheduling, and a supportive culture rooted in teamwork, integrity, and growth.
