Job Description The Mechanical Assembler - Hydraulics Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, repairing, and testing hydraulic systems and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulic assemblies and basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting skills. Work assignments are varied and supervision received is limited, so strong organizational skills and time management are required. Incumbents work independently or as members of a team installing, servicing, or repairing equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Hydraulic Assembly: Assemble components including pumps, valves, manifolds, hoses, and fittings. Technical Interpretation: Read and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and work instructions. Electrical Integration: Read basic electrical schematics and assist with the wiring of control panels, solenoids, sensors, and motors. Installation & Testing: Install and route hydraulic hoses and tubing; perform pressure and functional testing of hydraulic systems. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical issues. Tool Proficiency: Use small machine tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, crimpers, measuring equipment, soldering, and digital multi-meters. Fabrication: Build cables and perform part fabrication as required. Maintenance & Documentation: Maintain clean and organized work areas, track part inventory, and document assembly changes. Qualifications Experience: Proven hands-on experience with hydraulic assemblies and basic electrical troubleshooting. Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in basic mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics. Independence: Ability to work with limited supervision and manage time effectively.
