Job title: Warehouse Associate (Day Shift) Reports to: Warehouse Shift Manager Role overview The Warehouse Associate Day Shift is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by safely unloading delivery trucks, organizing inventory, and accurately placing products in designated locations. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining Tryon's high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Warehouse Associates play a key part in ensuring products are ready for timely delivery and that our customers receive the exceptional service Tryon is known for. Duties and responsibilities Move products between pallet jacks, shelving, and staging areas efficiently and accurately. Load and place products onto the automatic conveyor belt system to support order fulfillment. Organize and straighten products in shelves or bin locations to maintain warehouse order and accessibility. Pick and prepare customer orders according to established standards for accuracy and timeliness. Follow written and verbal instructions for all warehouse tasks and procedures. Maintain awareness of potential safety hazards, including moving forklifts and other powered equipment, and follow all safety guidelines. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required. Support overall warehouse operations and perform additional duties as assigned by supervision. Qualifications REQUIRED Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to meet the physical requirements as outlined with or without a reasonable accommodation Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and follow direction Working knowledge of safe work practices and warehouse safety procedures Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions Ability to work assigned shift and adjust to changing priorities as needed Willingness to work overtime or extended hours based on operational needs Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines PREFERRED High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment Prior experience or certification of operating powered equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or reach trucks Familiarity with order-picking systems, conveyor operations, or warehouse management technology is a plus Working conditions The employee will primarily perform work in a warehouse environment, involving frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating material-handling equipment. Work areas may be subject to varying temperatures depending on the season. The noise level in these areas is generally moderate, and proper safety equipment must be worn at all times in accordance with Tryon's safety guidelines. Physical requirementsMust be able to safely complete lifting up to 75 lbs regularly Must be able to safely complete lifting between 100-175 lbs occasionally (1-10 loads per hour) Lifting frequency may range from occasional (1-10 loads per hour) to continual (15 or more loads per hour) Must be able to stand and walk continually (5-8 hours per day) with occasional sitting (1-4 hours per day) Must be able to drive occasionally (1-4 hours per day) and perform repetitive foot motion continually (5-8 hours per day) Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, climb, squat, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive hand motions and fine motor tasks frequently to continually (3-8 hours per day) Must maintain proper lifting posture and always follow all safe work practices Must be physically capable of performing repetitive motion and lifting tasks in a warehouse environment Why Join Tryon?
