Job Title: Shipping Coordinator $20hr-$26hrJob DescriptionAs a Shipping Coordinator, you will manage the processing of domestic and international shipments utilizing various systems, including Starship, Therefore, UPS, WorldShip, and QuickBooks. Your role includes performing quality inspections during the shipping process and authorizing products to ship, ensuring that helmet orders and components meet quality standards prior to shipment.Responsibilities Document discrepancies and issues using the Opportunity Log. Match, verify, and evaluate shipping rates for LTL carriers, UPS, FedEx, and other providers to determine the most effective method. Conduct detailed reviews of import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations. Maintain strong working relationships with distributors, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, and customers. Track shipments and maintain databases, including item-level cost tracking. Keep all supporting documents for shipments, including logs, files, and reports. Stay informed on U.S. government import and export requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area supporting Lean manufacturing principles. Contribute to organizational goals, core values, and continuous improvement initiatives. Represent the organization at industry trade shows and customer meetings as assigned. Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Remain flexible, adaptable, and positive in a dynamic production environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics. Experience in order selection and inventory control. Ability to conduct quality inspections. Strong data entry and customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable work experience/training. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites or Google Workspace. Familiarity with industry-standard shipping solutions and best practices (UPS, FedEx, USPS). Experience with material packaging and strong reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to follow and support Lean manufacturing principles.
