What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator at a local lumber yard, treatment plant, and manufacturing facility: Perform pre-shift equipment checks, report any problems, and safely operate material handling equipment. Operate equipment to load/unload materials from the Wet Pad, Treating Tram, trucks, rail cars, storage, or indoor/outdoor work areas. For advancement opportunities, train to assist with quality control (QC), lab work, or lumber-treating processes. Maintain a safe and clean working environment Skills and Experience: Work Experience The Preferred Candidate Might: Have 1 year of forklift experience and the ability to obtain forklift certification Be a team player and goal-oriented Be mechanically inclined Understand basic math and inventory techniques Need to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, or carry loads up to 50lbs repetitively for the duration of your shift.
