Assemblers are responsible for building and welding components, assembling and leak-checking subassemblies, and following drawings and written procedures to produce quality parts. This role works in a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment under limited supervision while supporting production goals and team collaboration.YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR (Key Responsibilities) Assemble and resistance spot weld (RSW) grids and filaments according to drawings and written procedures Assemble and perform leak checks on subassemblies, including stems and coolers Follow detailed work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements Collaborate with other assemblers, process engineers, and product engineers to support production needs Maintain assigned work area in a clean and organized condition Support production schedules and directives, including overtime when required YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE THESE PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS High school diploma, AA degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (typically 3+ years) Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to use common hand tools Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods Willingness to support team objectives and production deadlines Physical Demands Ability to sit for approximately 80% of the workday Frequent use of a mandrel, including manual movement between workbench and welding equipment Ability to lift, carry, and position tools and materials associated with assembly work Occasional standing and walking within the work area Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements during welding preparation and operation This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals) due to access to export-controlled technology.WHAT WE OFFERPay $21 to $25 per hour depending on experience Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage Generous 401(k) match Commuter benefits within the Stanford Research Park Complimentary EV charging Paid time off and holidays Training and opportunities for skill development and growth OUR WORKPLACE COMMITMENTWe value the unique and diverse skills, qualities, and backgrounds that each employee brings to MPP, and we respect each employee as an integral member of our growing team. A high-tech manufacturing organization in the Palo Alto area is seeking a Precision Assembly Technician to support the fabrication and assembly of specialized components used in advanced systems.
