Job Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Denver, CO for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role performs production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive work. You will assemble and fit mechanical components, interpret drawings and BOMs, use hand/power tools, perform quality checks and continuity checks, and support rework and prototype build activities as needed in a manufacturing environment. Required Skills High school diploma or GED 1-3+ years of mechanical assembly experience (machinery or industrial equipment preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs) Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches) Basic understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to align, fit, and adjust parts to meet tolerances and ensure proper function Ability to perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies Familiarity with manufacturing/fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, machining (CNC), and assembly tools Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures Preferred Skills Technical/vocational training in mechanical technology or related field Experience in custom machinery, automation, or manufacturing environments Forklift or overhead crane certification Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Knowledge of GD&T standards PLC knowledge to support automation projects Willingness to work up to 10 hours of overtime per week Currently involved in regular strength and/or conditioning activities What You'll Do Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines using hand and power tools Install components such as bearings, gears, motors, shafts, conveyors, pneumatic components, and hydraulic systems Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and other fabrication tasks as required Make initial layouts and work from diagrams and drawings to complete assembly tasks Conduct continuity checks and perform quality inspections to verify specifications and operational performance Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues; support disassembly, rework, reassembly, and testing of experimental/prototype assemblies as needed Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 5S and safety standards Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams Job ID: 15738 "Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
