Material Handler

Material Handler - Staging Associate Our Client is a contract packer or co-packer, co-packs ready to drink beverage products in aluminum cans ranging from juices, energy drinks, teas and carbonated soda drinks in a wide variety of aluminum can sizes. Summary The Material Handler is responsible for accurately entering all required receiving information into the existing ERP system. This position accurately moves materials both physically and in the existing ERP system to ensure location accuracy. The Material Handler also stages materials for the batching department in preparation for upcoming production jobs. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 6am - 3:30pmPay: Starting at $21/hr (more for well qualified candidates!)Location: ClackamasDuties Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules. Computes amount of material required to complete job orders. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials. Arranges for repair and assembly of material or part. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED or equivalent experience Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly 1+ year(s) of experience working in a manufacturing setting; experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred 1+ year(s) forklift experience required Competitive applicants will have held jobs for at least 2-3 years at a time with good references. At least 2 professional references at recent companies. Speak, Read, Write in English for workplace safety.
