Assembler (On-site)

Our client is seeking an Assembler to support electronic manufacturing operations in a highly technical environment. This role requires working onsite full-time and involves assembling and inspecting advanced electronic components used in aerospace and defense applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic assembly, soldering techniques, inspection processes, and quality standards within a manufacturing environment. Perform electronic assembly using written instructions, schematics, and documentation Execute SMT and through-hole soldering processes Inspect circuit boards and electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards Operate inspection equipment such as AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and X-Ray machines to detect defects including shorts, opens, or misalignments Perform manual rework including cleaning shorts and correcting assembly defects Follow established quality standards, inspection protocols, and defect criteria Work collaboratively with team members to improve processes and resolve assembly issues Participate in training and continuous learning opportunities to improve technical skills Maintain accurate documentation and follow manufacturing procedures Required Skills Knowledge of quality standards, inspection protocols, and defect criteria Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering techniques Ability to work effectively within a team environment Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to operate AOI and X-Ray inspection equipment Capability to perform manual rework and defect correction High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of work experience or equivalent experience Preferred Skills Comfortable using Windows-based computers and electronic documentation systems IPC-A-610 certification IPC-J-STD-001 certification Experience with X-Ray, AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Benefits: Health Insurance Sick time 401k Schedule 4/10 work schedule - 2nd shift (Monday through Thursday) Typical hours: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM.
