Job Title: Mechanical Assembler ($18/HR) Job Description We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in a dynamic and expanding industrial environment. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a key role in assembling switch points, turnouts, and crossovers, while ensuring adherence to blueprints and engineering drawings. Responsibilities Assemble switch points and turnouts according to blueprints and engineering drawings. Assemble crossovers following detailed blueprints and engineering drawings. Facilitate the movement of switch and turnout materials to and from the work station. Complete all necessary documentation related to the product, including routing tags and daily preventive maintenance forms. Essential Skills At least 1 year of mechanical assembly experience. Proficiency in reading blueprints. Ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd inch. Competency in using hand tools and power tools. Experience in operating an overhead crane. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of turnouts, crossovers, double slips, and crossings. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a heavy industrial facility equipped with large CNC machines that manufacture substantial railroad equipment. Be prepared for varying temperatures, as the environment can become very hot during the summer and cold in the winter. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CLEVELAND, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.
