Shipping and Receiving Specialist As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will support daily shipping, receiving, and internal material movement activities at our Murrysville, PA Innovation Hub. Responsibilities include receiving and verifying materials, preparing electrical equipment for shipment, coordinating freight pickups, and maintaining organized storage areas that support production and delivery timelines. Headquartered in Monroeville, PA, Premier Automation designs and manufactures advanced automation, motor control, and power drive systems for industrial customers worldwide. This role contributes to operational efficiency by supporting accurate material handling and outbound shipment readiness. Here's how we do it: Comprehensive medical coverage with a 100% company-paid deductible Dental and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match and immediate vesting Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage Generous paid time off package including PTO, 10 company holidays, sick leave, and parental leave for growing families Company-provided tools and boot allowance Education assistance for ongoing professional development $1,000 employee referral bonuses Employee wellness programs Your Experience at Premier Here's what you can expect from the role, the team, and our culture: Position & Schedule: Full-time, hourly role with overtime as needed; MondayFriday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Reporting & Location: Reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations and Scheduling in Murrysville, PA Work Environment: Clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing and warehouse setting supporting production and outbound shipments Interview & Onboarding Process: Virtual interview, on-site interview and facility tour, reference checks, and pre-employment screening Culture & Values: Team-oriented, hands-on environment that values reliability, organization, and continuous improvement Duties and Responsibilities As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will: Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against packing documentation Prepare large electrical equipment (power, automation, and control panels) for shipment, including wrapping, banding, and crating Operate forklifts and overhead cranes for loading and unloading materials and equipment Perform inventory control activities including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution Track inventory using Epicor ERP software and maintain accurate stock levels Maintain organized storage areas and support material movement throughout the facility Complete and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation Coordinate freight pickups and support shipping logistics scheduling Collaborate with production, scheduling, and purchasing teams to support workflow continuity Proactively identify and communicate issues that could impact shipping timelines or production schedules Remain flexible to support additional operational needs as required Experience and Qualifications What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or warehouse training is a plus Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse, or inventory-related roles preferred ERP experience (Epicor preferred) with understanding of inventory transactions Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Forklift and crane experience preferred; certification or willingness to obtain Strong attention to detail in documentation and material handling Basic computer and math skills related to inventory activities Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform material handling tasks This role may grow over time based on experience, skills, and interest as our operations continue to expand.
