Material Handler II (3rd Shift)

Job Title Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment. Essential Job Functions: Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment Loads and unloads trucks Ability to use a hand scanner Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations Transfers finished products to designated areas Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience Competencies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Material handling experience is strongly preferred. Forklift Certification required. Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus. Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel. Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions. Operational Equipment: Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, Powered Industrial Equipment Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work Environment: Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. Physical Demands: Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
