Assistant Warehouse Manager Position Summary: The Assistant Warehouse Manager oversees the department's daily operations, including staff and program participant management, interactions with donors, and all inbound and outbound product movement and disposition to the Pelham Thrift Store and the Pelham Offsite Warehouse. Responsibility DescriptionManagement - Warehouse: Supervise program participants assigned to the warehouse, staff, and collection areas and the daily cleaning outside the store building. Facilitate and supervise the daily loading and unloading of trucks from the store from initial set up to clean up Ensure that all items unloaded from the truck are weighed and placed in appropriate staging areas Ensure that all items sent to the offsite location are weighted and accounted for on the inventory sheet Responsible for ensuring contracted waste removal containers are serviced according to the schedule and as needed Responsible for opening, closing, and securing all warehouse gates and doors Responsible for opening and closing the store as assigned Management - Driving Offsite Truck: Responsible for safely driving the donation truck for the daily transfer of items from the Pelham store to the offsite location Employment Readiness: Train program participants assigned to the warehouse on department rules and regulations Follow program guidelines regarding interactions with and oversight of program participants assigned to the warehouse Treat each program participant with dignity and professionalism Communicate issues and concerns regarding program participants to management Maintain program participant confidentiality at all times Qualifications and Education Requirements:Education: High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Certificate, or GED Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of management experience Proficient Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Requirements: Valid state-issued driver's license and must be approved by The Foundry's insurance carrier Skilled in operating a computer with the ability to learn software for digital dispatching Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate verbally and in writing Time management and organization skills Proven ability to resolve issues in a calm and efficient manner Servant leader Quick learner and enjoys the challenge of taking on new assignments Willingness to be a team player Staff members of The Foundry Ministries choose to participate in our grace-based environment by: Modeling Christ-like attributes and values through actions, words, and attitudes Maintaining a safe, transparent, and healing environment based on grace, truth, love, trust, and authenticity without fear Embracing the accountability process that leads to personal self-evaluation Teaching and mentoring program participants, volunteers, and peers at every opportunity by using biblical precepts Building healthy, loving, and compassionate relationships with program participants, volunteers, visitors, and staff while establishing healthy and safe boundaries Maintaining a personal lifestyle of integrity, honesty, and responsibility Praying with program participants, volunteers, guests, and staff Our Sharing Values: The Foundry models excellence in: Everything we do, we do unto God.
