Warehouse Materials Coordinator Pay Range: $18-$24/hr Reports To: Warehouse Manager Department: Operations / Warehouse & Logistics Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Travel: Local / Regional (same-day deliveries) Position Summary The Warehouse Materials Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring Jefferson Energy's field crews are fully equipped, properly staged, and supported with accurate, timely material deliveries. This role requires strong knowledge of commercial electrical materials, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate loading, logistics, and jobsite deliveries across multiple active projects. This position operates under the Warehouse Manager and serves as the bridge between warehouse operations and field execution, supporting Solar, Electrical, and O&M teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, comfortable driving company vehicles while towing trailers, and capable of proactively solving material and logistics challenges before they impact the field. Key Responsibilities Material Coordination & Staging Pull, kit, and stage materials for upcoming projects based on project schedules, crew needs, and material requests. Verify material accuracy against pick lists, drawings, and project scopes prior to crew loading. Coordinate truck and trailer loading to ensure materials are secure, balanced, and jobsite-ready. Assist the Warehouse Manager with inventory organization, labeling, and warehouse layout optimization. Logistics & Field Support Deliver materials to jobsites as needed, ensuring safe transport and professional interaction with customers and field teams. Coordinate delivery timing with Foremen, Leads, and Project Managers to minimize downtime. Assist with emergency or short-notice material runs to support field productivity. Support returns, restocking, and material reconciliation after project completion or scope changes. Electrical Material Expertise Maintain strong working knowledge of common commercial electrical materials, including: Conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC), fittings, and supports Wire and cable types Panels, gear, disconnects, and raceway systems Fasteners, grounding materials, and accessories Identify missing, damaged, or incorrect materials and proactively communicate issues. Warehouse Operations & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow all material handling, lifting, and trailer safety procedures. Assist with forklift, pallet jack, and material handling operations (training provided if needed). Support inventory counts, audits, and material tracking systems. Required Qualifications Strong working knowledge of commercial electrical materials (solar knowledge a plus). Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Comfortable driving company trucks and hauling trailers. Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physical warehouse tasks. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly with warehouse staff, field crews, and management. Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Prior experience in an electrical warehouse, supply house, or field electrical role. Forklift or material-handling certification (or willingness to obtain). Familiarity with JobTread or similar construction management software. Experience coordinating materials for multiple concurrent jobs. CDL (Class A or B) a plus, but not required. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Frequent lifting, carrying, and loading of materials (50+ lbs). Outdoor and indoor work in warehouse and jobsite environments. Driving company vehicles with trailers in varying weather conditions. Standing, walking, bending, and climbing as required for material handling.
