Forklift Operator

Job Title Perform the unloading, loading, warehousing, and staging of merchandise throughout the Distribution Center using manual and mechanical means. A Forklift Operator is required to assist Material Handlers and/or Merchandise Processors and must be able to perform the physical requirements of these positions as well as the physical requirements listed below. Essential Job Functions Operate manual and/or mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner Maintain proper certifications to operate required Powered Industrial Trucks Sort, warehouse, stage, and load/unload cartons in an accurate, safe and efficient manner Unload inbound freight/load outbound freight Stage outbound freight in shipping Receive and warehouse incoming merchandise into module racks and floor locations Pull merchandise from racks or move merchandise to open areas for pulling and distribution Performs all aspects of the Material Handler and Merchandise Processor positions upon request of the supervisor Complete all paperwork for any warehousing or replenishment activity in an accurate and neat manner Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Continuous (67% to 100%) Lifting 1-35 lbs. to 62" (above shoulder height) Standing/Walking Working at Platform & PIT Equipment Heights up to 30 ft Pinching 1 lbs. Bilateral Hand Coordination Ability to identify hazards (visually and audibly) and read all safety instrumentation Frequent (34% to 66%) Stair Climbing up to 60 Steps Forward Bending/Stooping/Reaching Carry 1-35 lbs. up to 10 ft. Foot Coordination/Trunk Rotation Gripping 1-30 lbs. Hear at a minimum noise level of 71dB Occasional (1% to 33%) Lifting 36-50 lbs. to 62" (above shoulder heights) Overhead Reaching Carry 36-50 lbs. up to 10 ft. Pinching 2-10 lbs. Gripping 31-35 lbs. Push/Pull up to 1-50 lbs. Qualifications High school education or equivalent Three months previous Distribution Center experience or equivalent Ability to perform basic math skills accurately Manual dexterity required Must be able to complete paperwork and forms neatly and accurately Ability to operate forklifts in accordance with Company policies and protocols Completion of all applicable Company-required safety and training requirements
