The unit has 16 beds with a staff of 45 RNs. The patient-nurse ratio is 2:1, ensuring personalized care. Both day and night shifts maintain a similar staffing structure. Common types of equipment include GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT, Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, vents. Electronic Medical Record system used in this unit is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line placements, and chest tube management. Ideal candidates will be team players and work well in a collaborative care environment. Floating to other critical care units may be required as part of the role. Weekend shifts are required; 2 weekend shifts biweekly with no on-call duty.
