Position Summary: The RF technician is responsible for tuning, testing, and verifying RF filters and oscillators and ensuring they meet the customer's expectations. The technician will tune various RF filters, including, but not limited to lumped element (LC) filters, crystal, and cavity-based filters and RF oscillators including TCXOs, VCXOs, and OCXOs. The RF technician will also perform various environmental tests to ensure compliance with the customer's specifications. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Production Assembler I Able to read and follows procedures exactly as written. Continues to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (2D0-1004) including STEP-C Performs a variety of manual tasks such as: mount and cure components, performs inspections under microscope to ensure quality standards are met, hand cleaning of components, etc. Load, Run and Monitor automated equipment as needed. Maintains safe and clean working areas. Production Assembler II All functions of Production Assembler I. Able to be self-sufficient in main work area Assists in preparing and lining up work for Production Assembler I personnel. Works with process engineering to suggest changes in process or product to improve throughout, yield, etc. Periodically checks with other peers or line leads to support other functions as needed in the finish product line Production Assembler III All functions of Production Assembler II. Makes suggestions for procedure changes to ensure procedures remain up to date and correct. Confers with the process engineers, supervisor, and other technical workers to assist with equipment installation, maintenance, experiments, and repair techniques when needed. Is well cross trained within their main department but can also work in other departments within the production/crystal line. Is recognized as the resident expert in the main area that they work in. Mentors employees. Trains employees. Supervises: None Knowledge, skills, & Abilities: Production Assembler I Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and performing fine motor tasks. Knowledge of components, specifications, SOPs, and testing processes is a Plus. Ability to work cohesively with peers and supervisors Ability to perform fine motor tasks; using microscopes, hand tools, and precision instruments for extended periods. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components. Accountable for addressing any issues in their cell areas to the supervisor Able to speak, read, and write in English to follow instruction, procedures, and communicate effectively. Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license. Production Assembler II All skills from Production Assembler I Ability to switch between areas daily as needed. Production Assembler III All skills from Production Assembler I & II Ability to be easily cross trained in various locations. Exceptional communication skills with peers, supervisors, and engineering teams Complete Mastery of procedures and processes in at least a single process area (i.e. crystal etch, MRW etch, baseplate, etc.) Education, Experience, & Training: Production Assembler I Entry-level; little or no prior experience required. Production Assembler II 2 years of operator level experience required. Production Assembler III 5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly with demonstrated mastery and mentoring ability. Physical Requirements & Working Environment: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push or pull materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, machine controls, and measuring instruments. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, fumes, and related by-products.
