Job Title: Cherry Picker OperatorJob Description We are seeking an experienced Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment to efficiently manage order selection, packing, and shipping processes. Candidates will be cross-trained across various warehouse functions and must be comfortable with manual handling, packing, processing, and unloading tasks. The position offers shift hours from Monday to Friday, with varying start and end times, and requires training on the first shift for one month. Responsibilities Operate cherry picker to pull materials for shipping and packing. Hand pick items using a cart and prepare retail orders at the packaging station. Process packed orders for shipment, including labeling and preparing bills of lading. Manually unload trailers and repalletize products. Manage inventory control and assist with shipping and receiving tasks. Properly complete all paperwork and update the SAP system. Load and unload trucks, recording parcel deliveries and ensuring accurate delivery to departments. Supply raw materials to various departments as needed. Maintain general housekeeping practices throughout the warehouse and manufacturing operations. Assist other operators in a team environment and maintain physical condition of equipment. Follow all company policies and procedures, and work overtime including weekends as necessary. Essential Skills 1+ year of Cherry Picker/Order Picker experience. Experience with order selection, packaging, shipping, and inventory control. Ability to operate Swing Reach Truck, Sit down forklift, and manual pallet jack. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work orders and inspection processes. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of warehouse experience. Ability to handle material equipment with sit-down forklift. Capability to lift and carry weights according to job requirements. Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The warehouse facility is not climate-controlled and may experience varying temperatures. The space includes racking up to 30 feet high, multiple packing and processing stations, and over ten loading docks. The culture is laid-back, emphasizing productivity and teamwork. Safety is a priority, and professional warehouse attire is required, including steel-toed/composite shoes and safety vests. Shifts are divided between the first and second, with training on the first shift. Breaks include two 10-minute and one 20-minute lunch, with restrictions on leaving during paid breaks. Equipment used includes cherry picker, Swing Reach Truck, and sit-down forklift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
