Accounts Payable Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to support and enhance the company's AP function during a critical period of process improvement and system implementation. This individual will play a hands-on role in managing day-to-day accounts payable operations while helping implement new tools and drive efficiencies. This position offers a clear growth path, transitioning into a broader AP/AR and Treasury-focused leadership role within approximately six months. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Analyze and monitor AP aging, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement Support cash flow visibility by assisting with cash positioning and forecasting activities Partner closely with leadership to enhance processes, internal controls, and reporting within AP Lead and support system implementation efforts, including Stamply (AP automation tool)-testing, user adoption, and process integration Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and finance teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency Maintain a hands-on approach ("in the weeds") while contributing to broader strategic and transformation initiatives Requirements: 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, with a strong AP Analyst or Senior AP background Proven experience in AP process improvement and system implementations (automation tools, ERP upgrades, or workflow optimization) Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable, including high-volume invoicing, vendor management, reconciliations, and month-end close support Experience analyzing AP aging reports, cash flow impact, and payment trends Demonstrated ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) Experience working with or implementing AP automation tools (e.g., Stamply, AvidXchange, Coupa, SAP Concur, etc.) Solid understanding of internal controls and audit compliance within AP processes Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across finance, accounting, and leadership teams
