Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician Repairs, installs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Essential Functions/Job Requirements: Follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools and electrical and electronic test equipment. Ensures electrical quality components to the manufacturing process standard. Perform all necessary electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment. Inspecting equipment by sight and sound, and reading gauges and other measuring devices on a routine basis to assure optimum operating condition. Maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes including lighting, climate control, security, A.C and D.C motors, controls and distribution panels. Rewire and replace outdated wiring and equipment and modify electrical circuitry and/or equipment to meet changing needs. Assure compliance with regulations (building codes, electrical codes, fire codes). Qualifications: Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints Ability in reading and writing electrical schematics and PLC logic diagrams Able to express basic electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in electrical maintenance technician work assignments.
