Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant As a Cost Accountant, you'll manage accounting transactions, compile financial information, handle billing, and create accurate financial reports for the Wallingford, CT location. Key Responsibilities: Reconcile General Ledger accounts and support month-end closing Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports Manage fixed assets, track depreciation, and analyze profit/loss statements Record and reconcile balance sheet accounts and accruals Prepare product costing calculations Handle intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies Prepare and monitor capital expenditure requests (AFEs) Support audits, budgeting, and special financial projects Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams Collaborate with leadership on financial planning and business strategy Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field 5-8 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC requirements Experience working with operational teams Adaptable to change with proven flexibility JD Edwards and Hyperion knowledge is a plus
