Job Title: Janitorial WorkerJob Description Join our team as a dedicated 3rd shift janitorial worker, responsible for maintaining cleanliness across various areas of an industrial facility. This active role involves cleaning offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and the café. Your tasks will include dusting, sweeping, mopping, operating a floor scrubber, and replacing trash bins. The cleanrooms require special attention and maintenance, involving the use of a body suit, glasses, and hood. You will clean countertops and floors using a backpack vacuum, sterile mop, and bucket. Participate in our 'Purge' events for thorough cleaning of cleanrooms, which includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning tasks. Additionally, ensure the café's microwaves, fridges, and countertops are spotless. Responsibilities Perform cleaning duties in various areas including offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and café. Dust, sweep, mop, and operate a floor scrubber. Replace trash bins and sticky mats at cleanroom entrances. Participate in 'Purge' events for cleanrooms, involving cleaning of countertops, walls, and ceilings. Clean café equipment such as microwaves, fridges, and countertops. Essential Skills 1+ years of cleaning experience. Positive attitude and dependable nature. Proficiency with a backpack vacuum. Comfortable wearing proper laboratory equipment. Ability to work without makeup, perfume, nails, and jewelry. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating a floor scrubber. Skills in custodial work, sweeping, housekeeping, vacuuming, cleaning, mopping, and dusting. Ability to clean safely and post wet floor signs. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work inside a two-floor industrial facility with labs, office spaces, restrooms, and storage areas. Primarily work independently but may collaborate with partners on specific tasks. This role is for the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with the possibility of 0-5 hours of overtime. Personal protective equipment, including closed-toe shoes and khakis or black pants, is required, while cleaning and protective equipment for cleanrooms will be provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
