Opportunity: Physician - Psychiatry - Inpatient Job Details: • Coverage needed for May 2026 due to physician shortage from maternity leave • Hospital-based practice setting in the Behavioral Health unit • Patient mix consists of approximately 60% adult and 40% geriatric patients • Average daily census of 20 patients in the Behavioral Health unit • Call ratio of 1:4 with only one physician on call at a time • Team includes 4 physicians sharing call coverage and 1 mid-level provider • Required skills include prescribing narcotics, pre-admission screening review per CMS guidelines • Must complete weekly care plan documentation and discharge summaries • Board certification required • Active South Carolina medical license required • BLS/ACLS certification preferred • Fellowship training preferred • Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days • On-call responsibilities from 8am-8am • NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required at presentation • EPIC EMR experience beneficial • Travel expenses covered including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage • Candidates within driving distance preferred Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
