This role is essential in creating a welcoming office environment while providing administrative and HR support that promotes teamwork and reflects ServiceMaster’s values.Pay & ScheduleWage: $18 - $21/hr DOEEmployment Type: Full-time 40 hours per weekSchedule: Monday–Thursday: 8AM - 5PM and Friday 8AM - 2PMReports to: HR ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Office SupportGreet employees, applicants, and visitors in a warm, professional mannerMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby areaReceive and sign for deliveries; distribute items to appropriate departmentsAssist employees with office-related needs (copier, internet, supplies, etc.)Phone & Communication ManagementAnswer and manage a multi-line phone systemScreen employee calls and route to appropriate staffScreen and direct sales calls to managementTake accurate messages and maintain professional phone etiquetteComplete and distribute the daily phone log by 9:30 AMAdministrative & Data EntryPrepare job applications and hiring packets dailyTrack employee call-outs and time-off requests in ExcelEnter production log times for cleaning, window, and floor departmentsMaintain office supply inventory and assist with supply distributionFiling & DocumentationFile production and floor logs daily and archive monthlyAssist with general filing and document organizationLaminate insurance cards, key tags, and related materialsShred confidential documents as requiredEmployee Support & EngagementPrepare birthday, anniversary, and sympathy cards; coordinate signaturesArrange condolence flowers and cards when appropriateSupport company events such as quarterly meetings, open houses, and company picnicsAdditional DutiesAssist HR and Office Management with assigned tasks as neededPerform other duties as assigned to support office operationsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of receptionist or front desk experienceBilingual in English and Spanish (required)Skills & CompetenciesExcellent verbal, written, phone, and face-to-face communication skillsStrong customer service and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PublisherAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretionProfessional AttributesProfessional appearance and demeanorStrong integrity, accountability, and follow-throughAbility to stay calm, organized, and composed in a fast-paced environmentHow to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience.ServiceMaster Building Services is a minority-owned business that has proudly served the Portland metropolitan area for more than 50 years, with expanded operations in Spokane, Washington, and in Arizona, including Phoenix and Tucson.
