PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (Part-Time) Location: Orange Park, FL 32073 Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (Part-Time) to join our healthcare team in Orange Park, FL. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the preoperative and post-anesthesia care units, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for surgery by conducting preoperative assessments and verifying medical histories. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the post-anesthesia recovery phase. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established protocols. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Provide patient and family education regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies in the PreOp and PACU settings. Function as Pharmacy Nurse ensuring organization and inventory of medications. Perform crash cart checks and environmental rounding. Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida. Experience in Preoperative (PreOp) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
