Job Details - Anesthesia Jobs Detroit Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,151 - $6,834 (competitive locum tenens pay) Location: Detroit, MI 48202 - Hospital-based anesthesia, Level 1 Trauma Center (adult with limited pediatric cases) Employment Type: Locum tenens / Travel CRNA - Michigan locum tenens opportunity Start Date: May 1, 2026 End Date: July 31, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours); no call, no weekends Shifts per Week: 5 Hours per Week: 36 Job Requirements - CRNA Qualifications Minimum 1 year of CRNA clinical experience in hospital-based anesthesia or perioperative settings Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA certification required) Active Michigan RN license (must be in hand at time of application) AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current Clean malpractice and license history Comfortable with variable day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours) in a high-acuity environment Responsibilities - Hospital-Based Anesthesia & Perioperative Care Provide hospital-based anesthesia care across a variety of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery, neurosurgery, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)/deep sedation Manage airway and ventilation, administer anesthetics safely, and monitor physiologic status throughout procedures Conduct preoperative assessments, obtain informed consent, and provide patient education Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, perioperative RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians Assist with and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia when indicated Respond to patient emergencies and trauma activations in coordination with the multidisciplinary team Document anesthesia care and perioperative notes accurately in Epic EMR Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and trauma-center protocols Why this locum tenens CRNA role: work at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Detroit with a supportive perioperative team, strong case variety, and no weekends or on-call requirements.
