This position provides hands-on care to residents while also supporting, mentoring, and motivating caregiving team members. The Lead Caregiver works closely with the Companion Care Assistant Manager and Companion Care Manager to ensure exceptional resident care, strong team performance, and compliance with all policies and care plans.If you are a compassionate caregiver with leadership qualities and a passion for supporting both residents and teammates, we would love to meet you.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinence care, vital signs, and weightsPromote resident dignity, independence, and quality of lifeServe as a positive role model by setting a “can-do” tone each shiftSupport, motivate, and inspire caregiving team membersTrain and mentor new team members using the onboarding programAddress caregiving questions and concerns from team membersReview caregiving duties to ensure quality and complianceMonitor and document resident health, behavior, and care needsProvide medication reminders and complete required documentationParticipate in on-call responsibilities and manage on-call phone as scheduledCommunicate effectively with residents, families, team members, and leadershipProvide tours to prospective residents and families when leadership is unavailableEscort residents to medical appointments as neededEnsure resident safety and follow all emergency, evacuation, and care protocolsMaintain confidentiality of all resident and client informationAttend meetings, in-services, and required trainingAssist leadership with additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of one year of prior caregiving experienceStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to problem-solve and work independentlyFriendly, courteous, and professional communication styleBasic computer skills and ability to navigate simple programsAbility to read regulations and resident recordsLegible handwritingPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 200 poundsAbility to walk, stand, sit, reach, and use hands and fingers regularlyAbility to see, hear, and communicate effectivelyMaintain a professional appearance (uniform or professional attire, name tag, minimal jewelry)Apply today to become part of a community where compassion, leadership, and quality care truly matter.
