Assembler Location: Hamburg, NY Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday Overtime: Optional Fridays Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling piping systems used in firetrucks, with a primary focus on water systems. This position involves mechanical assembly work using blueprints and schematics, with occasional light electrical tasks related to 12volt systems. Key Responsibilities Assemble firetruck piping and water systems according to blueprints and schematics Perform light electrical wiring as needed, primarily working with 12V systems Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and measure piping components Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Required Skills and Qualifications Experience using hand and power tools Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction Ability to lift 40-50 pounds Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment Preferred Skills and Experience Strong mechanical aptitude Background in automotive service, repair, or mechanical assembly Ability to climb, twist, bend, stoop, squat, and grasp as required for the role Comfortable standing for extended periods Why Work Here We offer a supportive team environment with opportunities for growth and solid benefits.
