Caregivers provide essential support to patients, but they also need breaks. As a Caregiver Respite Volunteer with CorsoCare, you’ll provide short-term support for families, giving caregivers time to rest, run errands, or take care of personal needs while ensuring patients remain safe and comfortable. What You’ll Do Sit with patients in the home or care setting while caregivers take a needed break Provide companionship, emotional support, and safety for patients Engage patients in light activities such as conversation, reading, or quiet reflection Offer peace of mind to families knowing their loved one is in capable, caring hands How On-Call Volunteering Works Volunteers are placed on an on-call schedule for their local area (within about 1 hour of their home base) based on their availability Volunteers are required to provide support on a recurring basis for their scheduled on-call shifts.
