We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Senior Property Accountant opportunity with our client, a full-service commercial real estate firm specializing in retail, development, property management, brokerage, and investment services. Their portfolio includes ground-up development and construction, management of company-owned and third-party properties, real estate brokerage, and joint ventures. The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the following specific duties: Your specific duties will include: Oversee the financial operations of an assigned portfolio of 10 commercial properties. Maintain complete financial records for assigned properties. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of owner financial packages. Complete detailed annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) Reconciliations. Assist property management team with preparing annual operating budgets. Prepare and file monthly AZ TPT returns in accordance with state and local regulations. Produce monthly and quarterly cashflow projections and distributions to property owners. Perform and review bank reconciliations. Assist with external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial activity. Maintain accurate lease records and ensure proper application of lease terms. Required qualifications for the position include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of property accounting experience. Strong understanding of accrual accounting. Proficiency with property management accounting software (Yardi). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Preferred qualifications for the position include: Multifamily/property management strongly preferred. Pay Rate Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, DOE Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
