Job Title: Forklift Operator Job DescriptionThis role involves operating within a warehouse or production environment, where you may encounter airborne particles such as dust, shavings, odors, and fumes. The position requires dealing with temperature and noise fluctuations and varying levels of vibration. The job involves utilizing bar code readers, scanning devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, shrink wrap, and banding tools, as well as other office equipment like computers.Responsibilities Receive instructions and schedules from the Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager. Pick up loads in tote boxes or on pallets, ensuring they are positioned securely on forks for safe transportation. Secure loads to High Reach/Sit Down Forklift before transportation. Load and unload materials in tight, narrow spaces. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Essential Skills Experience with forklift, reach truck, and sit down or deep reach forklift operation. Certification on the forklift within 90 days of employment. Skills in warehouse operations, material handling, picking, inventory management, loading, and general labor. Proficiency with RF scanners, packing, sit-down operations, unloading, production, order picking, forklift operating, load handling, picking, heavy lifting, assembly, RF scan guns, warehouse forklift, and shipping and receiving. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or chemical industries. Ability to read and follow written work orders. Proficiency with RF scan guns.
