Accounts Payable Clerk We're seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston who enjoys tracking payments, logging transactions, and helping the team stay on top of deadlines. Organized? Requirements for a Great Fit: 3 years of accounts payable experience Accuracy-driven with strong data entry precision Proficient in Excel; accounting tools are a bonus Able to stay organized and meet deadlines Dependable and trustworthy with sensitive information What You'll Be Handling: Receiving, reviewing, and entering vendor invoices into the system. Verifying amounts, purchase orders, and approvals. Preparing and issuing payments to vendors (checks, ACH, or wire transfers). Ensuring payments are made accurately and on time. Maintaining accurate accounts payable records. Reconciling statements and resolving discrepancies. Contacting vendors or internal teams about missing invoices, payment issues, or discrepancies. Responding to inquiries regarding bills, payments, or account status. Using accounting software or ERP systems (like SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or even Excel) to manage AP tasks.
