Job Description

Panel Technician This hybrid role involves both maintaining and operating foam production machines and equipment. The position requires expertise in operating foam production machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures, ensuring the production of high-quality foam products. Responsibilities Operate foam production equipment according to standard operating procedures. Set up and calibrate equipment for each production run, including mixing ratios and material inputs. Monitor and adjust equipment parameters such as air flow, vacuum, troughs, fall plates, and line speeds to maintain consistent production quality. Start and stop machinery as required, including executing emergency shutdowns when necessary. Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials (chemicals, activators, and additives) accurately based on production requirements. Inspect foam products for consistency, density, and adherence to specifications; document and report quality issues and implement corrective measures promptly. Assist in the storage and handling of materials, including foam blocks and activator drums. Maintain inventory of raw materials and report shortages or discrepancies promptly. Meet daily foam panel production targets. Complete production logs and reports accurately each shift. Minimize machine downtime and keep defect rates below acceptable limits. Reduce material waste. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions with minimal supervision. Basic math skills for accurate measurement, weighing, and mixing of raw materials. Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a production and manufacturing setting with exposure to chemicals, heat, noise, and physically demanding tasks. The shift is from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility to start at 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM, although availability to start at 5:00 AM is required if needed. The role frequently requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or crawling. You must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly and occasionally lift over 75 lbs with assistance. Work may involve uneven surfaces, ramps, and stairs, and exposure to outdoor conditions in various weather. Availability for overtime, weekends, or varied shifts as required by production demands is necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr. Full Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, etc. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Phoenix,AZ.
