The role of Small Commercial Senior Sales Representative involves engagement with both existing and potential Independent Agencies to cultivate profitable business opportunities and sources for new business growth. This representative will focus on building and executing an effective Agency Management sales plan to maximize production and profitability in your assigned territory. Responsibilities include: Conducting Teams meetings and virtual engagements with agents while meeting or exceeding sales objectives in growth and renewal retention. Creating demand that allows agents/producers to optimize the flow of desirable business, meeting or exceeding our financial goals. Building and nurturing strong relationships with agents/producers to surpass financial objectives in the territory. Equipping agents/producers with the necessary tools and information to maximize revenue through the sale of Hartford products and services. Implementing disciplined focus on flow management to ensure an adequate volume of acceptable business to support agency growth and profit goals. Crafting actionable Agency Sales Plans that align with financial objectives for growth, retention, and profit. Maintaining timely sales administration responsibilities, including reporting and expense management. Adhering to a disciplined sales process while ensuring consistent execution of Sales Excellence principles. Developing a thorough understanding of the territory, ensuring contact with the right number and mix of agents/producers capable of meeting financial objectives. Utilizing substantial knowledge of industry practices, market conditions, and competitor information to optimize business development. Qualifications: 5+ years of P&C Small Commercial sales and marketing experience with solid product knowledge; underwriting expertise is a plus. Proven track record of outstanding sales performance. Experience in Agency training. Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft tools such as SalesForce, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Exceptional sales and negotiation skills. Ability to inspire and motivate others. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently. Willingness to travel periodically within your territory. A valid driver's license is required. This position offers a competitive base salary along with the opportunity for a lucrative quarterly bonus. The base pay range is $88,000 - $132,000, which may vary based on performance, proficiency, and competencies demonstrated in the role.
