Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Phoenix Behavioral Health, a quality provider of mental health and substance abuse services, is looking to hire a part time provider (APRN) for our Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient treatment programs located in Cherry Hill and to serve as a back up support to our Ewing location as needed. Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Status: Part Time Location: Cherry Hill, NJ Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct initial psychiatric assessments of new clients Manage a caseload for ongoing medication needs, including metabolic assessment, appropriate labs/studies and contact with other physicians Chart documentation as per agency standards Prescribe medications within standards of psychiatric care Participate in joint clinical case review meetings with program and case management staff to coordinate care for clients Participate in quality improvement process, including chart review for compliance with medical record keeping standards Collaborate with Medical Director in accordance with Collaboration Agreement Provide staff training, consultation and support in medication education and record keeping Provide psychiatric emergency intervention and management for program clients Maintain regular CEU's Position Requirements: Master's Degree in Nursing; Valid New Jersey APN license (Advanced Practice / Nurse Practitioner License); CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist) in adult psychiatry / mental health with substance abuse experience; Computer Proficiency Wellness and Recovery Orientation Empathy and Compassion Ability to work in a team environment Experience: Substance Abuse: 1 year (Preferred) Mental Health : 1 year(Preferred) Clinical Nurse Specialist: 1 year (Preferred) Education: Master's (Required) License: NJ APN (Required) DEA/CDS (Required)
