Production Assembler We are working together with a leading-edge technology firm specializing in high-performance solutions for the satellite communications, aerospace, and defense sectors. Their mission is to provide precision-engineered RF and fiber optic systems that enable critical connectivity in some of the most demanding environments on (and off) the planet. With a focus on innovation and quality, they maintain a state-of-the-art production facility, where they prioritize technical excellence, ESD safety, and adherence to rigorous aerospace protocols. To support their continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Assembler to join their team. This role is vital to the assembly of sophisticated modules that utilize a combination of RF and fiber optic signals for our advanced satellite communications product line Role Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time Pay Range: $29.80 - $31.70 per hour (DOE) Location: Monrovia, CA Schedule: M - F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Key Responsibilities Mechanical Assembly: Perform assembly of modules according to drawings and specifications using manual tools, power hand tools, and microscopes. Fiber Optic Integration: Efficiently cleave and splice optical fibers to produce consistent, high-quality fusion splices. Testing & Quality: Collect relevant test data results and maintain assembly equipment to ensure accurate documentation of results, anomalies, and repairs. Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting and debug activities on faulty units to bring them up to specifications. Process Improvement: Recommend workflow improvements and contribute to the development of assembly procedures and system documentation. Lab Standards: Maintain electronic laboratory protocols, including ESD safety, contamination control, and equipment handling standards. Requirements & Qualifications Compliance: U.S. Person status is required for this position to access export-controlled data. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in fiber optic assemblies, preferably in the satellite communications industry. Technical Skills:Proficiency in the use of solder and rework stations. Strong understanding of J-STD-001 or IPC-610 regarding PCBA assembly and acceptance. Hands-on experience with PCBAs, RF, and fiber optic connectors/interconnections. Documentation: Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, documents, and specifications. Software: Shall use Microsoft Office Suite. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and aerospace testing protocols. Preferred: Experience working in ESD-controlled environments and advanced fiber optics splicing knowledge.
