Care Coordinator / Scheduler (Home Care) Are you highly organized, dependable, and passionate about helping seniors receive reliable care at home? Senior Helpers is a nationally recognized leader in in-home senior care and one of the first agencies in Michigan certified in Age-Friendly Care (4Ms: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, Mobility). We are looking for a Scheduler / Patient Care Coordinator who can keep care running smoothly by coordinating caregiver schedules and ensuring every client receives the care they deserve. What You'll Do: Coordinate Care Schedules Manage daily caregiver schedules to ensure all client shifts are covered Quickly respond to call-offs, schedule changes, and new service requests Match caregivers with clients based on skills, availability, and care needs Confirm upcoming shifts and communicate schedule updates with caregivers Support Caregivers in the Field Maintain accurate caregiver availability and scheduling profiles Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding schedules and updates Help build consistent caregiver-client relationships Fill Open Shifts Quickly Proactively reach out to caregivers to fill open shifts Use multiple communication methods to secure coverage quickly Work with leadership to resolve staffing challenges Provide Temporary Shift Coverage When Needed To ensure no client experiences a gap in care, this role may occasionally step in to provide short-term in-home care coverage until another caregiver arrives. When covering shifts, responsibilities may include: Companionship and supervision Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Meal preparation and light housekeeping Medication reminders Mobility assistance Following the client's care plan Maintain Clear Communication Document scheduling updates and staffing activity in the system Communicate with team members and leadership regarding coverage needs Ensure proper shift handoffs when coverage is still in progress What We're Looking For Experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, or home care operations preferred Caregiving experience or willingness to assist with client care when needed Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Join Senior Helpers?
