Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Logistics Associate is responsible for overseeing the full range of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control activities. This includes receiving and inspecting shipments, verifying documentation, storing materials, managing inventory transactions, fulfilling job pick lists, coordinating shipments, and supporting production and distribution processes. This position ensures accuracy, efficiency, safety, and flow of materials throughout the facility and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. BENEFITS Pay based on skill and experience ($19-$24) Health Insurance plus Dental & Vision coverage 401K Tuition Reimbursement Program ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against documentation; escalate issues as needed Route materials to appropriate departments and stock inventory using proper organization systems Pick and deliver materials for job and sales orders; perform inbound quality checks Prepare and process outgoing shipments with correct packaging, labeling, and documentation Coordinate truck pickups, carrier communications, and portal processing as required Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records using Oracle Fusion and other systems Perform inventory tasks including cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and transaction management Operate PIT equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, WAV) safely and efficiently Utilize Microsoft Office and internal systems for communication and reporting Generate Serial Numbers Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment; follow all safety protocols Support process improvements, share best practices, and assist in training coworkers Effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple departments as needed Willingness to travel to offsite warehouse locations in company truck as needed Travel between warehouse and main production facility in company truck (1 mile) as needed Perform additional tasks as assigned PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion) Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities Basic math proficiency and accurate inventory record management Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital systems Able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision Experienced in operating forklifts and warehouse equipment Box truck operation experience preferred Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); technical school diploma or equivalent work experience Minimum of 3 months' experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Visual requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory and shipment records Valid driver's license required COMPANY OVERVIEW: Boyd is the world's leading innovator in sustainable engineered material and thermal solutions that make our customers' products better, safer, faster, and more reliable.
