Inventory Lead Coppell, TX Full Time Direct Hire $20 - $23 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision We are hiring an Inventory Lead for a fast growing national distributor in the automotive industry that specializes in supplying tires to retailers and customers across the United States. This is a full time direct hire opportunity with a stable schedule and long term growth potential. This role will oversee daily inventory operations within a large distribution warehouse managing between 150,000 and 200,000 tires. The Inventory Lead will supervise inventory associates, ensure accurate inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and help improve inventory control processes. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting warehouse efficiency, and ensuring smooth operations across departments. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership and Daily Operations Supervise and guide inventory associates to ensure accurate counting, recording, and reconciliation of inventory Train and coach team members on inventory procedures and warehouse systems Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure organization, safety, and operational standards are followed Provide ongoing feedback and support associate performance and development Ensure team members have the proper equipment, tools, and system access needed to perform their roles Inventory Control and Planning Coordinate and oversee cycle counts, blind counts, and physical inventory processes Plan staffing and resources to meet daily and weekly inventory goals Monitor inventory activity to identify potential discrepancies and prevent stock issues Coordinate with warehouse leadership and other departments on inventory planning and replenishment Ensure equipment and data collection tools are properly maintained and ready for use Process Improvement Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions Identify opportunities to streamline inventory workflows and improve accuracy Support improvements using warehouse management systems and operational tools Manage return processes including RMA and drop ship returns to improve efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and operations teams to implement best practices Communication and Reporting Communicate with internal teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and process issues Provide updates to leadership on inventory accuracy, trends, and performance metrics Maintain clear communication between warehouse shifts to ensure operational consistency Prepare inventory reports using warehouse systems and Microsoft Excel Document audit findings and support compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or distribution environments Prior experience leading or supervising warehouse associates preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high inventory accuracy Experience working with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office tools Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills Physical Requirements Frequent walking and standing throughout a warehouse environment Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds Occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing during inventory verification Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures Strong attention to detail when verifying inventory counts and documentation
