Warehouse Worker The Medical Materiel Specialist II (MMS II) plays a crucial role in supporting the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command's Expeditionary Medical System mission. This position involves comprehensive warehouse support service activities including receiving, shipping, storing, selecting, packing, unpacking, and inventory management of both general and specialized material and equipment. The role requires a detail-oriented individual adept at utilizing various authorized databases to accurately process and account for medical allowance lists. Responsibilities Utilize DMLSS, HIMS, or other authorized databases for routine warehouse processes. Provide logistical support including receiving, shipping, storing, selecting, packing, unpacking, and inventory management. Perform inventory and documentation of supply stock, making adjustments to stock levels as directed. Review, stock, and resupply medical logistics items, replacing outdated or expired items. Conduct quality control on transaction records and file documents promptly. Research quality assurance messages using military databases. Review documents for completeness and resolve any inconsistencies or discrepancies. Perform receiving duties, checking documentation against containers and segregating materials. Support inventory control work, including annual inventories, location surveys, and material handling. Perform platform stowing of material to facilitate rapid deployment. Execute Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C) processes for kitting and shipping. Perform administrative tasks such as word processing and electronic document management. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and aesthetics, ensuring upkeep of assigned sections. Essential Skills Proficiency in DMLSS, HIMS, or other authorized databases. Experience in general supply activities, inventory management, and operation of materials handling equipment. Ability to maintain certification for operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and cherry pickers. Comfortable with wearing Personal Protective Equipment during work hours. Experience in running transactions in medical materiel information systems. Ability to work in an austere environment. Physical capability to lift and carry weights over 40 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in warehouse logistics and medical supply chain. Knowledge of Navy guidelines and Department of Defense publications. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse environment on a Navy base, requiring adherence to safety protocols and comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment. The position involves physical activities such as walking, standing, and lifting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Williamsburg, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.38 - $22.94/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
