Universal Logistics is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL A Shuttle Drivers out of the Northwood, OH area. Now is a great time to join a full-time & long-term career opportunity with a growing company! Compensation & Available Shift: 1st shifts 4am/7am ($24.00/hour) 2nd shift is 4pm-7pm at ($24.50/hour) Time and a half after 40 hours 5 day schedule (Monday-Friday) with potential for Saturday Lanes are from Northwood, OH to New Boston, MI and back Benefits (Effective after 90 days): Blue Cross Blue Shield - Medical, Dental & Vision Paid Holidays, Vacation & Personal Time 401K Responsibilities: Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads. Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled timeframes. Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods (DOT compliance). Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes. Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.). Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions. Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites. Keep equipment clean and report any necessary repairs. Qualifications: Valid CDL Class A License 3 months verifiable on the job tractor trailer experience within past year Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history No DUI/OWI OR Felonies in the last 5 years No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years Strong time management & communication skills Pass physical/drug screen Criminal background check Working Conditions: Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Exposure to varying weather conditions. Early morning, late evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required.
