Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob DescriptionAs an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing invoices for our organization. You will start by manually entering invoices into our current system and will transition to a more automated, paperless system with an upcoming upgrade. You will handle both electronic and manual invoice entries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure efficient processing.Responsibilities Open and process mail for invoice entry into the Infor Sx system. Manually enter invoices received via email and prepare for automated processing. Process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) invoices. Research and resolve invoice issues, including purchase order costing and payment discrepancies. Handle invoice resolution, which will be a significant part of the role initially. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable. Proficiency in basic Excel functions. Understanding of EDI and invoicing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or Associate's degree preferred, but experience is prioritized over formal education. Work EnvironmentJoin our Minneapolis location, part of a family-owned company experiencing significant growth. Our organization, located just west of the Mississippi River, offers a supportive and family-like atmosphere. The accounts payable team consists of three members who will provide training and support. The building is a modest 2-3 story structure housing about 150 of our 500 employees. The role involves processing approximately 200 invoices weekly, with a mix of electronic and manual entry. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a company transitioning to a paperless system.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
