Job Description

Project Scheduler Join one of the world's longest-standing full-service architect and engineering firms, founded in 1891, with over 130 years of global leadership in power, energy, and decarbonization. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain integrated master project schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software. Build engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules for T&D infrastructure projects. Establish work breakdown structures (WBS) aligned with project execution plans. Define logical relationships between activities to accurately represent the critical path and project sequencing. Develop baseline schedules and maintain schedule integrity throughout project execution. Schedule Monitoring & Analysis: Perform regular schedule updates based on engineering, procurement, and construction progress. Analyze schedule performance against baseline to identify delays, variances, and recovery opportunities. Monitor and track critical path and near-critical path activities. Generate look-ahead schedules (2-week / 4-week / 90-day) to support field execution and project planning. Conduct schedule impact assessments to evaluate potential delays and mitigation strategies. Risk & Delay Analysis: Perform schedule risk assessments and quantitative schedule analysis where applicable. Identify schedule constraints, float erosion, and potential bottlenecks. Support delay analysis, time impact analysis (TIA), and schedule forensic evaluations when required. Collaborate with project teams to develop schedule recovery plans and mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with: Project Managers, Engineering Leads, Construction Managers, Procurement Teams, Cost Control / Project Controls. Support integrated project controls processes including cost and schedule alignment. Participate in project planning meetings, risk reviews, and progress update meetings. Reporting & Project Controls: Develop and distribute weekly and monthly schedule reports for internal and client stakeholders. Provide schedule-driven insights into project performance, trends, and forecast completion dates. Create visual schedule deliverables including: Critical Path Analysis, Milestone Tracking, Progress Curves, Schedule Variance Reports. Support earned value management (EVM) where applicable. Types of Projects Supported Schedulers in this role may support projects such as: High-voltage transmission lines (69kV - 765kV), Substation engineering and construction, Grid modernization initiatives, Large-scale EPC capital programs. Scheduling Deliverables (Typical scheduling deliverables include:) Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Engineering schedules, Procurement schedules, Construction schedules, Commissioning schedules, Baseline schedule development, Schedule updates and forecasts, Critical path analysis, Recovery schedules, Delay and impact analysis, Resource-loaded schedules, Schedule risk analysis. The Successful Applicant: Education: Bachelor's degree in: Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related technical discipline. Equivalent experience in project scheduling within EPC or utility projects may be considered in lieu of degree. 5-15+ years of project scheduling experience supporting large capital projects. Experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project environments. Experience with Transmission & Distribution (T&D), utility, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects. Demonstrated experience managing schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Technical Skills: Primavera P6 (Advanced proficiency preferred) Microsoft Project (secondary) P6 Risk Analysis (Primavera Risk Analysis) preferred Project Controls Tools: Schedule Risk Analysis Earned Value Management (EVM) Time Impact Analysis (TIA) Critical Path Method (CPM) Data & Reporting Tools: Microsoft Excel (advanced) Power BI or Tableau (preferred) Microsoft Office Suite Preferred experience in one or more of the following sectors: Electric utilities, Transmission & distribution infrastructure, Power generation, Renewable energy, Grid modernization, Energy storage, Large-scale industrial EPC projects.
