Job Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electrical Assembler in Austin, TX for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role involves assembling electromechanical equipment and working in a production environment requiring precision, quality, and adherence to detailed work instructions. You will support manufacturing operations by building, modifying, and inspecting assemblies to meet strict standards. Required Skills Requires two (2) years of High School or Trade School education Experience with hand soldering Experience with rework of electronic assemblies Experience with mechanical assembly and/or tack bond (epoxy) application Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings Ability to follow detailed work instructions and build plans Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to become solder certified Preferred Skills Experience assembling electromechanical equipment Experience with connector installation and epoxy application to IPC Class 3 standards Experience with selective solder and high-volume wave soldering Experience with AOI and AXI (X-Ray) inspection to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards Familiarity with solder reflow ovens, pick-and-place machines, and automated measurement systems Experience using fixturing to build assemblies Experience inspecting parts and materials for defects prior to use IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications Completion of J-Standard Modules 1, 3, and 6 What You'll Do Assemble electromechanical components and subassemblies following work instructions Perform hand soldering, rework, and epoxy application on electrical components Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to support assembly tasks Inspect parts and materials for defects and ensure conformance to specifications Disassemble, modify, and reassemble production subassemblies as needed Utilize tools, equipment, and fixturing to accurately build assemblies Support quality inspections and ensure production accuracy Work in a clean room environment while maintaining high standards of workmanship Use basic computer systems for data entry and production tracking Work Schedule / Shift 4/10 schedule, 2nd shift Job ID: 7397 Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
