Create a welcoming atmosphere by being knowledgeable and responsive to customers' inquiries about products. Maintain extensive product knowledge to effectively recommend grocery items that meet customer needs. Ensure product freshness by regularly checking quality and sell-by dates. Label, stock, and manage inventory efficiently, guaranteeing customers access to fresh products. Communicate any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager. Exhibit a positive attitude to enhance customer interactions. Stay informed about promotional offers and seasonal advertisements. Adhere to all food safety regulations and keep temperature logs for coolers. Support safety initiatives by following established procedures and identifying potential hazards. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any repair needs to management. Inform management of any customer or employee incidents and report safety risks or illegal activities. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Minimum: Ability to handle stress effectively. Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction). Strong communication abilities. Desired: Previous experience in retail. Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, or writing).
