Machinist I This position is located On-site in our Denver Location CNC Machinist produces machined parts to specifications using manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses and other general machine shop equipment to produce a variety of metal or plastic parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Roles and Responsibilities: Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications,etc. Knowledge of working properties and machining processes for a wide variety of materials such as stainless steels, cast iron,ni-reist, carbon steels and aluminum Programing CNC mills and lathes Load raw materials into machine Sets-u mills and lathes Immediate knowledge of CNC machines and accessories Qualifications / Skills / Experience: Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics Possess working knowledge of complex shop math including algebra,trigonometryand geometry Good communicationskills both verbal and written Excellent hand-eye coordination Birdon offers a full benefits package including: Health/Dental/Vision EAP/Life STD/LTD 401(k) with company match (pre- and post-tax options) Vacation/Sick accrual and holiday pay Tuition reimbursement program Employee referral program Pet Insurance Birdon is committed to the HEALTH and SAFETY of our workforce and to the ENVIRONMENT we expect this same commitment from all employees.
