Reference #: BD-1299A-01We're looking for compassionate Registered Nurses to provide 1:1, school-based nursing support for students with significant disabilities at a school in Union, Missouri. You'll work directly with one student, following their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individual Health Plan (IHP), and you'll accompany the student on the bus to and from home to ensure continuity of care.Quick detailsProfession: Nursing (RN)Specialty: 1:1 School-Based NurseLocation: Union, MissouriFacility: SchoolCoverage: On-site (includes daily transportation with the student)Job type: Contract (through July 31, 2026 or per the school calendar)Schedule: Monday-Friday, aligned with the school calendar; includes bus rides to/from the student's homeStart date: MarchPay: $45.00/hourWhat we're looking forActive Missouri RN license in good standingCurrent CPR and First Aid certificationPrefer at least 1 year of experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or working with developmental disabilitiesMust pass Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) screening and an FBI fingerprint background checkStrong communicator who can collaborate well with a multidisciplinary educational teamWhat you'll doProvide continuous 1:1 nursing care to an assigned student during the school day and while transporting the student to and from homeFollow and implement the student's IEP and IHP to support medical needs and educational goalsAdminister medications, monitor vitals, and respond appropriately to medical issues or emergenciesReview medical histories and student records to deliver informed careWork closely with teachers, administrators, and staff to support the student's participation and progress; provide training or demonstrations of care techniques when neededDocument services, progress notes, and IEP-related input accurately and in a timely manner using designated systemsAttend required orientations, trainings, meetings, and IEP meetings as requestedHelp ensure continuity of services by coordinating or supporting substitute nurse coverage when necessaryMaintain confidentiality (HIPAA and FERPA), follow mandated reporting laws, and comply with all state regulations and professional standardsPerform all duties on-site; remote or telehealth work is not permittedIf you're committed to student-centered care and comfortable working in a school setting-including daily transportation with the student-we'd love to hear from you.
