Seeking Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care opportunity in Worcester, MA. The Urgent Care APP is a member of the clinical practice team and works collaboratively with other staff members to provide high quality patient care according to the PCMH model. Urgent Care Medicine APPs will have the opportunity to work in partnership with the numerous other disciplines offered at the health center including mental and behavioral health, pharmacy, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, Reproductive Health, Gender Affirming Care, Dental and Optometry. Provides medical care to patients with acute medical problems or acute exacerbations of chronic illnesses. Examines patients, formulates diagnostic plans, and orders diagnostic testing. Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans. Provides acute care for patients across the entire lifespan, including infants and pregnant patients. Determines the need for consultation and assists in medical care and treatment provided by other specialists. Participates in other care procedures according to training and demonstrated ability. Prescribes and assesses effectiveness of pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens as appropriate for patient s medical conditions. Promotes continuity for patients with the primary care team within EMK and facilitates appropriate follow up with primary care team when appropriate Meets the Health Center s annual productivity goal. Maintains and updates Electronic Health Records (EHR) in a systematic format and completes required documentation within 48 hours. Our schedule includes weekday evening hours and Saturday morning hours on a rotating basis. Required Qualifications Completed Master s level Nursing Practice Degree and Family Nurse Practitioner certification OR Completed Master's Level Physician Assistant Degree PA Board Certification OR FNP Board Certification Active, Unrestricted FNP or PA License in Massachusetts. MCSR and DEA We are looking for applicants with 3+ years of experience. Compensation and Benefits $105,000-$115,000/yr Generous time off package including 4 weeks of paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, 3 personal days, 5 sick days and 3 extended sick days.
