The free-standing cancer facility features state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team environment with 8 physicians and 4 APPs working together to deliver exceptional patient care.Opportunity:Nurse Practitioner - OncologyJob Details:• Provide locum coverage in Medical Oncology at a free-standing cancer center• Coverage dates from ASAP through end of September for additional coverage support• Manage adult and geriatric patient populations with 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology• Handle approximately 15 outpatients per day and 20 hospital patients during call/rounding• Call schedule includes first call coverage Tuesday 4:30pm-8:00am and Friday 4:30pm-Monday 8:00am• Provide on-site inpatient rounding Saturday and Sunday• Call ratio of one rotation every 5-6 weeks depending on staffing• Utilize EPIC documentation system for all patient records• Perform management of bone marrow transplants, blood bank coordination, order tests and imaging• Prescribe medications and oversee administration of chemotherapy with nurse oncologist support• Must be Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology with active SC license• Required certifications include BLS and DEA• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory within 30 days of presentation• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days• Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rateCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
