Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, collaborative NICU team within a respected healthcare system. They are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA must be willing to obtain an OR license) who has completed a 12-month Neonatal PA/NP fellowship or residency program. In this role, you will provide clinical management of high-risk neonates and infants, support patient and family education, and work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and support teams to deliver high-quality, family-centered care. You will also have autonomy in ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans.Coverage is split between Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and Providence Portland Medical Center, both Level III NICUs and teaching hospitals with strong support from Maternal Fetal Medicine and OB Hospitalist teams. While providers are primarily based at St. Vincent, they will also rotate to Portland Medical Center.St. Vincent (PSVMC): Higher acuity, smaller and sicker patient populationPortland Medical Center (PPMC): Slightly lower acuity, typically longer shiftsPatient Volume: 22/day at St. Vincent, 10/day at PortlandAnnual Deliveries: 3,000 at St. Vincent, 4,500 at PortlandThe team includes 13 Neonatal NPs, working in partnership with contracted neonatologists.
